Fragrance & Things LLC is a U.S.-based fragrance company
rooted in a deep appreciation for Middle Eastern fragrance oils and the
traditions surrounding them. Since 2004, we have shared oudh, musk, bakhoor,
agarwood, fragrance oils and distinctive fragrance experiences with customers
seeking something more personal than fragrance alone.
For us, scent has never been simply about smelling good. Fragrance can carry
memory, express identity, accompany ritual, change an atmosphere and quietly
become part of how a person is remembered. That belief began our journey—and
continues to shape everything Fragrance & Things is becoming today.
Our Story Begins
Fragrance & Things was born out of a deep, personal connection to the captivating world of Middle Eastern fragrance. In 2004, we began our journey with a simple mission: to share the unforgettable, evocative power of fragrance with others.
After moving to Atlanta in 1999, our founder became part of a small, intimate community. By 2002, as more time was spent within this close-knit group, something remarkable began to emerge. Gatherings were filled with rich conversation, shared meals and exquisite fragrance oils.
On Fridays, the air would be filled with musk, oudh and floral fragrance oils as everyone arrived in their best attire, each wearing something that seemed to reflect their individual character. Fragrance was present in the room, but it was also part of the occasion—the preparation, the gathering, the conversation and the memories that followed.
In those moments, scent became more than something pleasant to wear. It became a bridge between memory, emotion, identity, ritual and connection.
That experience planted the seed for Fragrance & Things and a desire to share these remarkable fragrance traditions with others.
More Than Fragrance
At Fragrance & Things, fragrance is more than something you wear.
It is memory. It is identity. It is ritual.
The fragrances we choose can reflect how we see ourselves, how we want to feel and sometimes even how we hope to be remembered. A gentle musk may communicate warmth and comfort. A rich oudh may suggest confidence and presence. A delicate floral composition may evoke elegance and grace.
Yet two people can experience the same fragrance very differently, because fragrance is shaped not only by aroma, but by memory, preference, environment and personal meaning.
Over the years, we began to recognize that customers were not simply choosing fragrance oils. They were choosing expressions of themselves.
That realization encouraged us to look beyond fragrance notes and explore the deeper relationship between scent, personality, lifestyle, emotion and identity.

Our five Fragrance Identities represent distinct ways of experiencing scent: Royal Oudh expresses presence, authority, depth and distinction; Soft Musk reflects comfort, intimacy, warmth and quiet elegance; Clean Luxury embodies refinement, clarity, polish and restraint; Sacred Ritual centers on reflection, grounding, meaning and atmosphere; and Modern Sweet explores charm, attraction, energy and contemporary appeal.

Bringing Middle Eastern Fragrance Traditions to Modern Life
Fragrance & Things is not simply a company. It is an evolving journey shaped by nearly two decades of lived experience in the Middle East and a continuing appreciation for the fragrance traditions that first captured our founder's attention.
While living abroad, our founder traveled throughout the region, visiting different destinations, developing relationships, establishing fragrance contacts, and searching for oils and scent experiences distinguished by character, quality, and authenticity.
From bustling markets and traditional fragrance shops to the deeply personal ways fragrance was woven into daily life, gatherings, hospitality, worship, and celebration, these experiences helped shape the foundation of Fragrance & Things.
Our collection reflects that continuing appreciation for Middle Eastern fragrance culture: rich oudh, distinctive musks, floral compositions, bakhoor, agarwood and traditional fragrance oils selected for those who appreciate character, craftsmanship and lasting presence.
We are proud to introduce these fragrance traditions to those discovering Middle Eastern fragrance oils for the first time while continuing to serve experienced fragrance lovers who already understand how deeply scent can become woven into everyday life.
Innovation Meets Tradition
Respecting tradition does not mean fragrance must remain confined to the ways it has always been experienced.
That belief helped inspire the Fragrance Writing Pen —an F&T fragrance experience that brings personal fragrance and an everyday writing instrument together in a form designed to travel naturally through modern life.
It represents an idea that continues to influence our work: preserve what makes fragrance meaningful while finding new ways for people to experience it.
From a Small Kiosk to a Growing Fragrance House
In 2006, Fragrance & Things took one of its first steps toward bringing its vision into a physical retail environment with a small kiosk in a local mall.
The experiment lasted only two months. The realities of overhead and market demand made continuing the location impractical, but closing the kiosk did not end the vision.
We continued.
Fragrance & Things returned its focus to reaching customers online, sharing the oils and fragrance traditions that had inspired the company from the beginning.
Today, that online presence allows us to connect with fragrance lovers throughout the United States and around the world—and to continue developing new ways for people to discover, understand and experience fragrance.
